Long serving Waratah-Wynyard Councillor and former Mayor, Kevin Hyland, has passed away.

Cr Hyland dedicated over two decades of public service to the North-West community, serving on council from 1999 to 2012, returning in 2014, and holding the role of Mayor between 2005 and 2010.

Council representatives expressed deep sadness this week, paying tribute to Cr Hyland’s extensive local knowledge, experience, and commitment to the region.
