Waratah Wynyard CEO to depart

The CEO of Waratah Wynyard Council in Tasmania is moving on, according to media reports today.

Vanessa Adams has served as the Council’s CEO since February 2025. Her arrival coincided with a title change, with the council dumping the General Manager title that was previously used for the organisation’s most senior officer.

The Advocate has reported that the council will soon be seeking its third boss in a two year period. An official announcement is yet to come from the council about Ms Adams’ departure.
