City of Bunbury Deputy Mayor Tresslyn Smith dies

The City of Bunbury has announced the death of Deputy Mayor Cr Tresslyn Smith, who served as an elected member for nine years and as Deputy Mayor for five.
In a statement published on the council’s website, Bunbury Mayor Cr Jaysen Miguel said Tresslyn’s contribution to the city extended well beyond her civic role, describing her as someone who approached every conversation with genuine care and respect.
Cr Smith’s death comes three months after the death of her husband, former Bunbury Mayor David Smith OAM.
Mayor Miguel said Cr Smith’s years of service had left a lasting legacy for the Bunbury community.
The City of Bunbury has asked that the family’s privacy be respected at this time, with funeral arrangements to be announced in due course.
