Albury City appoints new CEO
AlburyCity has appointed Jason Gordon as its new Chief Executive Officer, with Mr Gordon set to commence on 8 September 2026.

Albury Mayor Cr Kevin Mack said the appointment followed an extensive national recruitment process, describing Mr Gordon as a leader of strong calibre with experience spanning local government, state government and major public sector organisations.
Mr Gordon, a proud Barkindji man, brings more than three decades of public sector leadership. He most recently served as Executive Director Operations at the NSW Environment Protection Authority, overseeing complex operational and regulatory functions across the state. His earlier roles include Acting Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director Services at Water Infrastructure NSW, senior executive positions at Transport for NSW, and CEO/General Manager of Wingecarribee Shire Council.
Mayor Mack said Councillors had given Mr Gordon a clear mandate to strengthen AlburyCity’s financial sustainability, improve organisational performance and build community confidence in Council. He noted Mr Gordon’s track record in planning, infrastructure delivery, asset stewardship and governance aligned with Council’s current priorities.
The Mayor added that Mr Gordon and his family intend to relocate to Albury.
